Eberron using Pathfinder
I plan the next time I run an Eberron campaign to use as much of the Pathfinder content I can without modification. Some things can't be helped. Warforged, Kalashtar, and Changelings come to mind. The Changeling may be the only one I need to actually create from scratch since the Pathfinder Changeling is an entirely different creature. Well, here are some thoughts as I set up my variation of Eberron.
Magic
Magic is where I will differ greatly from the 3.5e version. No Psionics. Use the Occult classes instead. They will also fit the feel of dealing with Kalashtar and the Dreaming Dark. The Daily Planescape blog has a great article that mirrors many of my thoughts on this.

Let’s see what we can do with the races.- Changelings
- This race will need to be recreated.
- Kalashtar
- Can be mimicked by the Reborn Samasaran subrace. You could use them as written, though I think I will make a couple of slight changes. This subrace (near the bottom of the linked page) is already tied to the Occult.
- Shifters
- Skinwalkers cover this already.
- Gnomes
- Those native to Zilargo use the Gear Gnome subtype.
- I have their hair color is closer to normal for D&D Gnomes.
- I also will have them immune to the Bleaching.
- Goblinoids
- They are more civilized than the standard Pathfinder versions, so the Eberron descriptions are more appropriate, but they still retain the Pathfinder stats.
- Dragonborn
- 4e introduced them into the Eberron setting.
- If you have the Midgard setting material, you could use their Dragonkin race.
- I already made up a substitute that is basically the Dragonbreath Kobold enlarged to medium size.
- Elves
- Mostly this is just flavor. Valenar will likely use something Occult classes and Oracles that are connected to their ancestor worship.
Classes
I won't cover all of the classes right now. Just some preliminary thoughts.
- Sorcerers (or any bloodline class/archetype)
- Have the bloodlines tied to Dragonmarks.
- Dragonmarks now covered by Eldritch Heritage feat.
- Also use the Variant Multiclassing to make House Scion.
